Wenchi, situated in the Bono Region of central Ghana, serves as the capital of the Wenchi Municipal. The town has a latitude of 7.73333 and a longitude of -2.1, with an average altitude of 304 meters above sea level. Wenchi is about 30 km north of Techiman and roughly 50 km east of the border of Ivory Coast. As of 2013, the population of Wenchi was 39,187 people.
