Goaso, located in the newly created Ahafo Region of Ghana, serves as the capital of Asunafo North Municipal District. It is situated between three major towns, namely Mim, Kukuom, and Hwidiem, and surrounded by other nearby towns like Ayumso, Akrodie, Fawohoyeden, and Nkaseim. With an estimated population of 24,846 in 2017, it is the second largest town in the Asunafo North Municipal District. Goaso is home to various government agencies and institutions.
