Dodowa is a town situated in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana and serves as the district capital of Dangme West district, which is now known as Shai Osudoku District. The town is located approximately 39 km from the capital city of Accra. Dodowa Forest is a significant tourist attraction in the area, and the locals celebrate the "Ngmayemi festival." Additionally, the Historical Dodowa Forest is the location where the Katamanso war ended. The Tsenku Waterfall, which is a magnificent waterfall that drops about 250 feet and flows onto stratified rocks into a refreshing pool filled with tilapia fish, is situated in the Historical Dodowa Forest. The Tsenku stream is joined by two other streams, namely "Sanyade" and "Popotsi," before flowing into the sea. Furthermore, Dodowa is home to the Dodowa Health Research Centre, which specializes in health-related research and implementation studies.
